Tokenized securities, lessons from the field. Securitize, Ondo, RedStone panel summary - South Korea's tokenized securities regulation launches February 2027. Phase 1 starts with private funds and bonds for institutional investors. - Securitize uses native tokenization approach. The onchain token is the security itself, not a wrapper. Onchain AUM approximately $5 billion; following BlackRock BUIDL, ARK fund also announced. - Role division. BlackRock is issuer and asset manager; Securitize is transfer agent proxy and tokenization platform. If private key is lost, Securitize burns and remints to a new wallet...maintaining control like traditional securities. - Ondo's core is 24-hour mint/redeem. Instead of AMM, RFQ model allows trading at offchain price regardless of size. Compliance toolkit including auto-freeze of sanctioned wallets also attached. - Ondo emphasizes agentic commerce too. AI can't do KYC...need agents to be able to buy and sell immediately when needed, opening accessibility. - RedStone supplies TSSO oracles to BUIDL and VBILL. Fund managers directly sign data and it's verified onchain. - Haven't even started yet. Tokenized RWA $38 billion vs DTCC $117 trillion...obstacles are inaccurate pricing and insufficient onchain liquidity. - RedStone's solution is a settlement hub. In Morpho, borrow USDC with tokenized private credit, and when liquidation line is hit, LPs take it on through flash RFQ auction. Liquidation possible without onchain liquidity. Credora even assigns A-D risk ratings to RWAs. - Korean financial firms will decide within 90 days. Where demand comes from (Securitize), why onchain (Ondo), and instant swaps between products to eliminate yield gaps (RedStone)...this is the killer feature view. Source
