<DEX in RWA Era> Robinhood FABLES point action. People who participated starting today (12~19) must choose whether to receive liquid FABLES vs veFABLES within 1 week. If no selection, receive nothing; selection page hasn't opened yet but seems coming soon so wanted to introduce in advance. 1/ Briefly defining Fables: market schedule aware dynamic fee. Usually you've probably heard of dynamic fee systems, but this one reflects volatility — higher fees during high volatility times, lower during low volatility. Stable pairs have low fees, volatile pairs have high fees, so it makes sense LP earns more fees when IL risk is high. But RWA is special because in real stock market systems there are trading halts·holidays·call auctions making volatility likely to move by scheduled patterns. Especially at those boundaries volatility becomes extreme. If this were handled with basic TWAP volatility mechanism, arbitrage by bots would likely happen at every boundary, so starting from the idea of pre-emptively reflecting this. As shown in the chart, you'll see fees sticking up and down by time. Fables so applies individual hooks for stocks·ETFs·commodities·crypto etc. all following different schedules. 2/ How Did Fables Become Uniswap Robinhood's #2 DEX? Honestly not so much what they did well, but cartel was big. Being a Western founder who placed in this hook at ETHGlobal, at some point the ETH/USDG pool and Fables pool appear at top on Uniswap Robinhood chain. So considerable depositors likely don't even know they're putting into Fables and deposited anyway. Most TVL occupied by this one pool; appearing first on Uniswap is kinda sus.. 3/ So Does This System Actually Work? Whether this system with market-aware fee schedule actually works needs two views: i) Captured sufficient volume to increase fee revenue? ii) Reduced IL during risk periods? Looking at results, doesn't seem to be working yet. Rather than APR marked on DEXes, looking at actual same-liquidity fee revenue per
