Wondering how the market will move after the Binance hack, I pulled the 3-month flow after the Bybit hack. At that time, the period of slightly declining stablecoin total supply and BTC decline overlapped, and even after the supply began increasing again, BTC continued weakness for a while. However, stablecoin supply showed recovery long-term, and BTC surpassed the pre-hack price. Of course, there was also the April tariff shock back then, and BTC's price before the hack was higher than now, making simple comparison difficult. (Also a 4x difference in hack scale—Bybit: $1.5B / Binance $6.3B) Still, watching this incident, it'll be worth monitoring how long the initial capital outflow continues and when the supply volume increases again. Personally, I like watching stablecoin supply metrics.

What if we shorted every time the Binance hacker sold? 👀 Dae Jonghyun made a Binance hacker token selling dashboard, and since I was personally curious about it I'm sharing. If you click on tokens one by one on the site, you can see the first selling contract and the Binance perps 60-minute chart after the selling time. I was curious how much opportunity there actually would have been if we received on-chain alerts about hacker sales and immediately shorted. For now, focusing on tokens with smaller market caps rather than large market cap tokens like $ENA, I separately tallied only tokens with sell notional under $10M, and out of 99 total, 75 dumped within 60 minutes of the selling point, with an average dump rate of about 2.7% for the tokens that fell. The average sell size per token was about $1.1M. Since all selling has now finished, those curious about the flow at that time can click through one by one. This kind of thing, even if referenced after time passes, should be a big help the next time a similar situation comes around.

https://go.octav.fi/binance-drain-dash On-chain data platform Octav and Arkham collaborated to create a Binance hacker wallet tracking site. Check it out if interested. Current amount of alts swapped is $717m. Stablecoins are frozen at fairly high proportions. Since the attacker needs to liquidate alts on-chain, it seems unlikely all the stolen value will be successfully cashed out.

Saw a wallet buy $KNTQ for $1m in 24 hours, so I dug into Arkham and it turned out to be a transfer from a wallet estimated to be a16z. Did a16z buy it? Then it would be big news. On the day Arthur Hayes, Zana Ventures ($PRL shilled early this year) etc. announced purchase news, so looks like VCs are coming in big. Hyperdash is convenient for recently viewing buys and sells. + Mixed with Arkham is best.

Anthropic ($ANTH) recently submitted an S-1 IPO filing to the SEC, with listing scheduled for mid to late November. Some are concerned that like $SPCX, a major IPO absorbing market liquidity could burden crypto too. (= before Anthropic, crypto shorts are free shorts) So I pulled Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana charts before and after the $SPCX IPO, and could see weakness actually appearing "about 10 days before listing" rather than after listing. Of course, I can't definitively say this decline is due to the IPO, but if you're concerned about liquidity absorption, you need to watch how price flow and liquidity move before listing day rather than on listing day. If we miss it, reaction might come from early November?
